Just a little info about next Saturday's triathlon, we have 44 participants registered so far! This is more than last year at this point. Just to let you all know, the fabulous Conway Kids Triathlon was canceled a week ago due to rain and lightning. They had 355 kids totally disappointed. Their race director emailed us last week about our kids tri. We are excited to welcome the Conway and Little Rock area participants to East Arkansas. We hope you are impressed by our part of the state! The Crowley's Ridge Country Club will be open for lunch 11-2 with grilled burgers and hot dogs as their specialty. So grab a bite if you'd like before you head out!
In the past, we've averaged 55 participants and will most likely have more this year. Having said that, we've beefed up the number of volunteers and aid station supplies. We still have a cap of 100 for the event.
Weather-wise, it looks like 80 degrees and clear for Saturday's event. Let's all keep our fingers crossed as today we have heavy rain and thunderstorms! We look forward to a safe, fun event for participants and parents alike! See you Saturday, registration opens at 7:30 and the transition area will close at 8:45, pre-race meeting will be at 8:45 am and we will start at 9:00 am. - Keeli

The event starts at 9 am on Saturday, August 16 with registration beginning at 7 am. Polar bottles and medals are guaranteed for the first 100.
Be sure to arrive EARLY to allow time for body marking, transition area set up and pre-event meeting. The transition area will close at 8:45 am sharp!! We're looking forward to another safe, fun and exciting kids tri in Wynne!

Becca and I realized the day before our triathlon last year that we didn't tell ya'll about the cabins at Village Creek! A participants family asked about campsites and we realized that we should have a lodging page so ya'll know about all the hotels in Wynne and that we have a great state park! Here's a list:
